The SF Groups Engineering Division in Leicester has an interesting role for an Electrical & Instrumentation Engineer. My client has been established for over 100 years and they operate within the Power Generation Industry and provide a full turnkey solution to customers and are renowned for excellence.
They have a global presence and have completed installations in 100's of Countries around the world.
We are seeking a Electrical & Instrumentation Engineer To develop and issue Electrical and Instrumentation designs for procurement, installation and commissioning of projects meeting PBL Quality Standards, Customer specifications and International Regulatory Requirements.
The successful Electrical & Instrumentation Engineer will :
Design and develop product portfolio for Steam Turbines and Gas Compressors within the Oil / Gas sector and Power sectors and Special purpose machinery.
Create designs to ensure functionality of Electrical and Instrumentation systems for PBL proposals or Contracts for Steam Turbines, Gas Compressors and Special purpose machinery according
to quality, safety, reliability, maintainability and cost targets.
Technically support Project Managers including site visits, and technical meetings as required.
Be able to Project Manager the E&I scope of the project when we outsource to sub suppliers.
Provide technical assistance to Sales, Applications, Spares and Service, Aftermarket and new product development initiatives including site visits and technical meetings as required.
Undertake design studies on PBL and competitor's existing control systems as req uired including value engineering and cost reduction.
Keeping up to date on developments in Electrical and Instrumentation systems and feedback if anything can reduce costs or lead times.
Deliver customer solutions.
Support Operations to resolve assembly or functionality issues and support FAT of the Steam Turbines, Gas Compressor and Special purpose machinery.
Review and approve drawings, layouts, specifications and sub supplier data to ensure they meet the requirements of the project.
Specify and approve control system Functional Design Specifications, Software Design Specifications, Logic Diagrams and C&E Matrix.
Specify and approve test and inspection procedures of all electrical and instrumentation equipment.
Carryout FAT of Control systems at the supplier premises.
Provide design activity status reports and estimated design timings for project schedules as requested.
Schedule own work to meet manufacturing and delivery targets as detailed in the project plan.
The ideal Electrical & Instrumentation Engineer will have :
Knowledge of steam turbines or gas compressors and associated systems.
Degree / HND in a related electrical engineering discipline.
Experience with Electrical and Instrumentation selection.
The successful Electrical & Instrumentation Engineer can expect :
