Cazenove Capital is the HNW and UHNW wealth management business of Schroders in the UK and Channel Islands.

The base

We moved into our new HQ in the City of London in 2018. We're close to our clients, in the heart of the UK's financial centre.

And we have everything we need to work flexibly.

The team

Cazenove Capital has 19 Wealth Planners and 115 Portfolio Managers in the UK. We are supported by a large team of industry professionals to ensure that our clients receive excellent performance, advice and service.

What you'll do

  • Manage a portfolio of high-value client relationships, owning the delivery and execution of their associated wealth planning strategies and structures;
  • Fully understand the client's inter-family relationships, individual circumstances, risk profile, objectives, planning needs and resulting solutions;
  • Actively market and develop profitable new client relationships using resources provided to you and your own network;
  • Provide financial advice to new and existing clients, covering all aspects of their lives, ensuring all client engagement is profitable, compliant and in the client's best interests;
  • Meet with clients regularly, ensuring any agreed action is documented and implemented swiftly;
  • Have primary responsibility for new client set-up, sign off and suitability for wealth planning advice structures;
  • Make clients aware of new and relevant planning opportunities that will be benefit their position and meet their overall planning objectives;
  • Support, motivate and mentor those around you to contribute towards a healthy and successful working environment for all.
  • The knowledge, experience and qualifications you need

  • Considerable experience in advising high-net-worth individuals on complex wealth planning and tax strategies;
  • In-depth pension and taxation knowledge across all relevant areas, including UK resident non-domicile planning;
  • Degree level qualification or equivalent;
  • An approved Level 4 or above FCA approved regulatory qualification;
  • The CII Advanced Financial Planning Certificate, Chartered Financial Planner or equivalent professional qualification preferred;
  • Hold a current Statement of Professional Standing (SPS);
  • Pension Transfer Specialist would be an advantage.
  • What you'll be like

  • Professional, organised and motivated, self-starter;
  • Strong interpersonal and verbal / written communication skills;
  • Ability to present clearly and concisely in a pressured environment;
  • Possess an excellent understanding and working knowledge of all the major wealth planning strategies available in the UK marketplace and how these can be applied to HNW clients of Cazenove Capital Management.
  • Knowledge of international planning would be an advantage;
  • Able to communicate complex matters in a clear and simple fashion;
  • Strong but tactful questioning skills and an ability to interpret personal information with a view to understanding an individuals motivations and drivers;
  • Ability to fully understand the complete range of Cazenove Capital's offering to the private client market and to be proficient in explaining such services to clients;
  • Able to demonstrate and evidence 35 hours Continued Professional Development (as required by the FCA) on an annual basis, including any additional requirements for specific regulatory functions, such as Pension Transfer Specialist.
