Casual / Cover Instrumental teacher
Durham Music Service requires a pool of temporary instrumental staff, to be used to cover staff absence etc. We would particularly like applicants able to teach brass, woodwind, guitar, drum kit, keyboard / piano, KS / curriculum or EYFS.
Teachers of upper and lower strings, orchestral percussion or singing are also very welcome to apply.
Durham Music Service is the lead partner in the Music Education Hub for County Durham and Darlington. Applicants must have a recognised music performance qualification (Grade or equivalent) on their principal instrument and either a teaching qualification or previous teaching experience.
Most of our work includes both whole class First Access’ programmes and small group tuition.
The job involves travel across County Durham / Darlington Borough and candidates must be able to meet this provision. The service is committed to safeguarding children.
All candidates will need to demonstrate a commitment to the welfare and safety of children and young people.
Any offer of employment will be conditional upon receipt of two supportive references and a successful Enhanced DBS check.
