What to expect
Interact with a diverse population of high-achieving scholars and fellow staff from around the US and abroad
Travel by air or motor coach to program sites across the US
As residential positions , housing and most meals are provided in dorms or conference centers
Anticipate being on call / available 24 / 7 , though working hours will typically be from approximately 7am-11pm
Program Support Responsibilities
The Program Support Staff are responsible for the total customer experience, be it logistical implementation to being available for any student or other customer that needs individual attention.
Work may include : working behind the scenes to ensure that all events run smoothly, administrative tasks such as filing paperwork and sorting program materials, interact with and supervise students, overnight student individual attention for any reason, communicating with families, vendors and key contacts, oversee a program’s in-field social media initiatives, be responsible for program equipment (cars, communication equipment) and monies, as well as other responsibilities.
This position requires physical activity, including heavy lifting and walking / being on one's feet for long periods of time.
Responsibilities
Monitor the safety and whereabouts of scholars at all times
Be knowledgeable of all policies and procedures and assist in their enforcement, including student conduct and dress code
Collaborate with families and scholars regarding any concerns including medical issues, homesickness and special needs while at the program according to policy guidelines, with the guidance of program management
Interact with parents and scholars in a customer service-friendly manner
Identify and solve any logistical problems that arise efficiently and professionally
Manage safe and efficient transportation of scholars and staff during program, using program vehicles
Adhere to financial guidelines and expectations
Advance the location of program events to ensure proper set up and the logistical success of the event
Prepare all meeting rooms and deliver organized program materials according to curricular needs
Alternate with other Advisors or Scholar Experience Team members to lead activities during recreation time
Assist with on-site set up and take down at the end of each session as well as at the end of the cycle
Restock supplies when needed
Attend daily staff meetings
Work closely, cooperatively and amicably with all staff members
Attend to personal needs of scholars for the entire program on an on-call basis
Provide nighttime program support
Facilitate check-out and visitation for students and assist program visitors when necessary
Perform other duties as determined by the program leadership
Inspect and / or test every aspect of a given location and event in preparation for the arrival of scholars and staff to ensure the logistical success of the event
Support Staff Qualifications
Bachelor’s level education or current student
Possess a valid driver’s license
Previous experience working with high school students
Strong logistical and organization skills
Must be able to bend and lift boxes up to 50 lbs. and walk up to 10 miles per day
Ability to exercise good judgment and solve problems
Maturity and professionalism
Excellent customer service skills
Ability to set expectations for and facilitate appropriate student behavior
Health & Safety Responsibilities
Clean and sanitize equipment and spaces
Perform temperature checks
Be around large groups
Wear a face mask and any other PPE as required while performing all duties throughout your assigned workday
Model best practices for staying healthy throughout the program
Enforce health and safety guidelines among scholars and staff
Responsibilities and Requirements for this role may adapt and adjust with any new Local / State / Federal / Venue guidelines as well as recommendations and requirements from the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) for General Health & Safety.

Can complete a mandatory training program prior to working first session

Envision’s programs are held on college campuses and at conference centers across the United States. Positions could be based at any program location.
The approximate start date in 2020 is June 15th.
