Your role in a nutshell
For the digital aficionado or connoisseur this opportunity brings together the perfect mix of tech, strategy, vision and tactics.
Its about building products (some of which we dont even know about yet) and services across The Body Shops digital platforms to improve customer experience, be more efficient and to drive profitable growth.
You will take a lead role in the strategic development of a suite of core, customer-led digital products. You will assume super user capabilities, managing the backlog, roadmap and value case for delivering incremental benefit to the organization.
You are a self-starter, operating with full autonomy alongside senior Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and executive leadership.
You will use your entrepreneurial capabilities to deliver world-class product innovation across multiple workstreams within a matrix environment.
Your goal is to ship high-quality digital products to add incremental value and accelerate The Body Shops digital reinvention.
More about the role
You will be the owner of commercial success of your digital products, defining and realising the business case benefits alongside executive teams and senior stakeholder groups.
You are responsible for being the voice of the customer whilst ensuring that strategic goals are met by the best available products.
You will lead a shared vision of the product experience continually enhancing existing products and ensuring business readiness for new launches.
You are responsible for the on-time, on-budget and on-strategy delivery of our products and projects through careful prioritisation and review, ensuring stakeholders understand the compromises and constraints to expedite MVPs and fast-follow backlogs.
You will manage virtual squads operating as a proxy line manager for critical strategic projects whilst owning the definition of product themes and collaborating with business analysts on elaboration for technical delivery.
You will lead all user acceptance testing including validation of changes following our release cycles.
Importantly, you will own the adoption and expansion of your digital products into the business runs teams, delivering first-rate training and show and tells.
Lastly, you will own the communication strategy, delivering regular updates to Key stakeholders.
What we look for
As well as the expertise above we are looking for some specific experiences in your background
Retail : To fully appreciate the nuances of the sector you will ideally have worked within an omnichannel retail environment.
Direct selling experience would be a plus. Its amazing, but it IS different
Managing complexity : Not just in technology and product, but across teams, geographies and divisions. Experience of working within a matrix or complex global environment would stand you in good stead.
Entrepreneur : This means constantly innovating, solving problems, taking initiative, anticipating , overcoming barriers and bringing new ideas to life always.
