Job Purpose

The purpose of this role is to deliver the overarching design, description, delivery and integrity of Supply Chain Planning, NPD and Quality systems solutions required to deliver on the objectives of the Princes Supply Chain Planning, NPD and Quality systems Strategy.

Working with cross functional stakeholders the role will define and document best practice solutions, taking account of all Stakeholder requirements and business objectives whilst ensuring solutions are aligned with existing Enterprise, Technical and software environments and standards.

Dimensions

Design, implementation and maintenance of all Supply Chain Planning, NPD and Quality systems.

Up to five direct reports

Providing third line support for Supply Chain Planning, NPD and Quality systems.

The role requires occasional travel and periods away from home.

The role may be required to perform duties outside of normal working hours

Principal Responsibilities

Supply Chain Planning, NPD and Quality Systems Solution Design working with Princes cross functional teams and 3rd party suppliers to design and develop Supply Chain Planning, NPD and Quality systems solutions that address business requirement definitions and are aligned with the Princes Supply Chain Planning, NPD and Quality systems Strategy and Standards.

Supply Chain Planning, NPD and Quality Systems Strategy - Working with other members of the Supply Chain Planning, NPD and Quality Systems Team and the Group Operations Leaders in the development of the Supply Chain Planning, NPD and Quality systems Strategy as new and alternative technology solutions become available.

Supply Chain Planning, NPD and Quality Systems Standards - Working with Group Supply Chain to develop and apply standards with solutions and applications project initiation through to implementation and Business As Usual.

Supply Chain Planning, NPD and Quality Systems Change Management Ensuring that changes to system architecture, platforms and software are managed through the appropriate change processes, and mechanisms to track changes are maintained.

Supply Chain Planning, NPD and Quality Systems Support and Maintenance - Propose, develop and execute plans for upgrading and maintenance of software deployed in the Supply Chain Planning, NPD and Quality systems domain, liaising with third party suppliers of equipment and software in the provision of support for Supply Chain Planning, NPD and Quality systems solutions.

Manage / Develop People - Ensure that the Supply Chain Planning, NPD and Quality systems team is appropriately recruited, trained and managed to be able effectively and safely to deliver their tasks and ensuring the stability and continuity of this workforce consistent with the long-term needs of the Supply Chain Planning, NPD and Quality departments.

This includes where appropriate managing and developing team members in line with Princes guidelines on performance management.

Knowledge, Skills Experience

Knowledge

  • Degree level qualification in an IT or related subject
  • Strong understanding of SAP APO (Demand Planning, Supply Network Planning and PPDS functionality and master data in a Supply Chain context.
  • Strong Understanding of New Product Development processes and systems solutions.
  • Strong understanding of SAP Manufacturing master data and processes.
  • Understanding of Analytics solutions.
  • Understanding of Data Warehouse Concepts and solutions in SAP.
  • Strong operational grounding within a complex fast moving Supply Chain environment.
  • Strong understanding of change management principals and application
  • Understanding of systems architectures that form the backbone of Supply Chain Planning, NPD and Quality systems.
  • Business to Business communications architecture
  • Detailed understanding of software testing techniques and methods.
  • Understanding of methods and approaches to train and coach end users on business and Supply Chain Planning, NPD and Quality systems.
  • Competent user of Microsoft Office applications

    Willingness to travel in the support of delivery of the Princes Supply Chain Planning, NPD and Quality systems Strategy to other Princes Group Operations sites.

    This may involve some periods away from home

    Experience

    Graduate or of Graduate calibre, with good strong practical experience of project delivery in an IT and Supply Chain Planning, NPD and Quality context.

    Operated and familiar with implementation of the principles of World Class Supply Chain Planning, NPD and Quality environments / Continuous Improvement methodologies.

    Strong operational grounding within a complex fast moving Supply Chain Planning, NPD and Quality systems environment.

    Practical experience of using systems implementation methodologies.

    Demonstrable track record of achieving results / managing change.

    Have developed or worked in the development of Enterprise Architecture associated with Supply Chain Planning, NPD and Quality systems solutions.

    Experience of testing IT systems is desirable

    Understanding of methods and approaches to train and coach end users on business and Supply Chain Planning, NPD and Quality systems.

    Experience of working cross-functionally dealing with all levels of business employees from senior executives and shop floor operations
