Position Summary

The Account Director is responsible for leading and managing agency resources to the delivery digital solutions so that all clients’ needs are met on time, to budget and to the highest standards of service.

Your key clients will be the UK account for Johnson & Johnson and the EMEA accounts for Mattel, with a focus on the PPC and eRetail activity (Amazon Search Ads, Criteo Sponsored Ads, Citrus Ads) for a number of their key brands and markets.

Reporting into the Head of PPC, you will be responsible for both the strategic development of your client’s accounts and organization of your team, which includes an Account Manager and two Account Analysts.

You will be responsible for overseeing the quality of their work, career development and training needs.

Client Relationships

  • Provide senior guidance and strategic support for Johnson & Johnson and Mattel
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key clients
  • Share knowledge, new platforms and industry developments
  • Grow revenue from key clients by increasing their investment in PPC, eCommerce or introducing new channels from other parts of the agency
  • Leadership & Management

  • Provide effective support to Head of PPC and Head of Paid Media in maintaining standards, improving processes and streamlining delivery across the team
  • Lead the delivery of PPC and eCommerce services in your team, ensuring a high quality of work that adheres to best practice and meets client expectations
  • Ensure all finance, PO’s and budgets for all clients follow due process in the team
  • Co-ordinate and delegate work amongst your team to ensure tasks are allocated effectively depending on skills and resource
  • Manage your direct reports, including their development and training needs
  • Service Delivery

  • Be at the forefront of PPC and eCommerce by keeping up to date with industry news, new platforms and technologies
  • Assist in the delivery of campaign work when necessary
  • Help in preparation for and attend sales pitches as required
  • Lead and build required key client communications and deliverables eg. QBRs, campaign reviews and meetings
  • Align strategy and ensure client needs are met with other teams across Reprise including wider PPC teams, other channels, new business and client services
  • Innovation & Initiative

  • Develop imaginative, innovative and effective ideas and process improvements for your clients
  • Contribute your own ideas and opinions on your client’s business, how we work, and the industry we’re in; establish a presence in the agency.
  • Be a trusted, knowledgeable source of information and developments in search marketing
  • Take a leading role in the PPC element of new business pitches and contribute to the development of our paid proposition and approach
  • Desired Skills & Experience

  • Proven years’ working agency-side in Paid Search marketing, with at least one year at Director level
  • Team management of at least two members of staff
  • Experience managing PPC campaigns across multi-account MCCs in Google and Bing
  • Managed large budgets and delivering high performance for big brands
  • Knowledge and / or experience managing eRetail campaigns on Amazon or Criteo
  • Be a trusted, knowledgeable source of information and developments in search marketing
  • Communicate effectively at all levels, both up and down
  • Strong client-facing skills : understanding client needs, maintaining relationships, building partnerships
  • Strong commercial acumen
  • Take responsibility for accounts, tasks, projects and people
  • Able to work in high pressure environment and resolve client issues
  • Competent and keen presenter with strong Powerpoint skills
  • Analytical, yet operate strategically, with understanding of the big picture’
  • Hands-on’ approach to operations : Plans, assigns and directs work, time, material, people
  • Strong attention to detail
