Pitchup.com receives 30m annual visits and over the last year has booked over 5m bed nights, with revenues up 121% on 2020 and 93% on 2019.

The site has been featured in leading global media titles, has been translated into 16 languages, and you will join a nimble team of 70 based in 10 countries, currently all working from home, as we are a remote-first business.

An estimated £30bn global market, camping and caravanning attracts some 1.2bn nights each year. Before the pandemic over 20% of Pitchup’s revenue derived from its 40% of campsites in around 70 countries outside the UK.

Reporting to the Managing Director, you will thrive in an entrepreneurial environment and be responsible for both strategy as well as execution.

The role will provide all direction for performance marketing activity including country expansion opportunities, technical integrations, effective budget management and strategic growth opportunities You will work alongside our SEO Lead, Data Scientist and Product Owner to identify and put into practice growth initiatives, automations and experiments.

About the role :

  • Devise effective performance marketing strategies and roadmaps, launching / optimising campaigns locally and internationally, working with agencies
  • Forecast performance and contribute to business forecasting process
  • Maximise productivity through automation and feed integration
  • Rapidly identify high-potential ideas via a test and learn’ approach
  • Build out the international plan and global expansion, targeting local search engines such as Bing and Yandex
  • Supervise agency relationships, setting and monitoring achievement against targets
  • Implement monitoring tools and build the process / reports for analysing PPC performance
  • Ensure acquisition & traffic targets are met at acceptable ROI levels
  • Test new strategies & landing pages for increased traffic, CTR and conversion rate
  • Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Design and Content as needed to deliver campaigns
  • Work closely with other channels to achieve business goals, encompassing cannibalisation, keyword opportunities and ad copy
  • Make data-driven decisions based on metrics, industry insights, market trends, and the competitive landscape
  • There will be an opportunity to build a team to support our international expansion
  • Contribute to Pitchup.com's growth strategy and keep abreast of PPC and SEM trends
  • About you :

  • Proven track record of setting, delivering and running £10m+ annual spend global performance marketing strategies / campaigns efficiently while increasing revenue and traffic, ideally within a online travel company or complex e-commerce business
  • Expert in all areas of performance marketing with at least 5+ years of experience
  • SA360 experience strongly preferred
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills, with demonstrable passion for ecommerce marketing and knowledge of other online marketing channels and their interactions with performance marketing, including attribution
  • Commercially focused and driven with the ability to work towards metrics and manage budgets
  • Ability to work to deadlines in a fast paced environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
