In this key role you’ll play an important part in telling the Novartis story in the UK, increasing our visibility and bolstering our reputation among key audiences.

Your responsibilities :

Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to :

  • Develop and deliver, in collaboration with key internal stakeholders, a corporate communications strategy, including a media plan and social media strategy, to build the external reputation of the Novartis Group in the UK
  • Manage and develop one direct report
  • Act as corporate brand champion by identifying and managing external opportunities to build profile of Novartis and key executives
  • Manage the corporate media image and interactions of Novartis in the UK with key media through proactive and reactive activities, news flow planning, and issues management, in coordination with divisions
  • Develop and manage key corporate channels including and others as appropriate based on strategy.
  • Work closely with UK Communications and other stakeholders to identify and leverage organisational activities via the most appropriate channels
  • Minimum requirements

    What you’ll bring to the role :

  • University educated Communications or related discipline
  • English language skills, both written and verbal
  • Broad communications experience
  • Ability to manage relationships with a high number of key internal and external customers
  • Significant experience working collaboratively to drive results
  • Excellent negotiation, facilitation and influencing skills
  • Experience in developing and implementing communications strategies to deliver key messages to target audiences
  • Desirable requirements :

  • Strong existing relationships with key journalists
  • Experience developing and managing creative, practical digital / social media strategies to deliver objectives
