We are currently recruiting for a Senior Customer Quality Specialist to join our Regional Quality team in Royston. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that new products are introduced into any required manufacturing location efficiently, ensuring that all relevant customer and JM requirements are met.
Our Regional Customer Quality department ensures that our customers’ requirements and specifications are communicated and implemented across our manufacturing and testing sites.
We undertake projects initiated both internally and by our customers and assist with problem resolution on a site, region, or global basis.
Working in a fast-paced environment you will establish close contacts with our Sales, Technology and Plant teams across the globe to improve our focus on internal quality and the customers’ requirements.
Manage the Quality Planning aspects of the introduction of new products from the development phases through to series production in line with customer requirements
Manage and lead departmental and specific customer support projects as agreed with the Customer Quality Manager
Write the Specification Standards and Sampling Plans for customers
Provide support to the Technology, Operations, Quality and Sales departments
Support and train Customer Quality staff in the use of database systems and other general processes
Prepare specification proposal presentations where appropriate
Keep Account Managers informed of customer enquiries and the status of work in progress
Coordinate the collation of project data, perform data analysis and summarise in report or presentation format as appropriate
Are you the ideal candidate?
You will have
A degree or equivalent in a scientific discipline
Broad knowledge of emission control catalyst products, manufacturing processes and analytical methods
Demonstrable experience in working in a technology or quality environment
High attention to detail, as well as excellent organisational skills
Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse audiences
Proven experience of working with financial or numerical data
Strong problem-solving skills with a methodical approach
Demonstrable IT skills using relevant software packages such as Microsoft Office
Experience of using technical software packages such as Minitab is desirable
