A Lloyds Broker is looking for a Commercial Motor Account Executive to join their team of experienced Executives to join the fast-
paced office in West Malling.
About the Role :
Responsible for servicing accounts in an efficient manner within the lifecycle of a binding authority; supporting peers to meet client demands and needs in order to achieve optimum profitable renewal retention rate and growth.
The ideal candidate will be driven and business focussed and keen whilst keeping Clients at the heart of your actions.
Key Accountabilities / Responsibilities :
Control the renewal process along with your team including the gathering of information from Clients and Prospects
Handling commercial risks on behalf of national clients
Visiting clients on a regular basis to develop and maintain clients
Take over an existing book of business as well as growing it in the future.
Obtain renewal terms in conjunction with your team for customers and identify potential alternative quotations to discuss with customers
Follow up and secure new business leads in order to read your new business target
Liaise with Broker to ensure terms negotiated with the market meet with your / Clients objectives.
Completion of pre-renewal strategy documentation with Account Handler
Undertake pre-renewal and renewal visits with Clients, as appropriate
Deal with Insurer queries in relation to customer policies
Assist with customer queries relating to existing policies and liaise with insurers regarding potential changes and new terms for policies
Manage own workload in order to effectively service the client relationship and ensure placements are completed within client deadlines
Identification of new business opportunities for existing Clients and recommendation provided by them
Management - Have regular review sessions with staff to support the annual review and provide support and coaching to enable staff to meet their job role and personal development objectives
Provide clear direction to the team so that they are clear on the business objectives and how their own objectives contribute to them
Person Specification :
Knowledge of general insurance (London Market / Lloyd's and Industry) products, services, classes of insurance including underlying legal principles and practices relating to risk within own role capacity
Demonstrated rapport-building experience with colleagues and clients
Good knowledge of client market and insurance industry network
Able to quickly grasp and interpret salient information
Able to identify potential risks / issues and seek advice / consultation when required
Due diligence and process driven to deadlines
Willing to travel / drive as part of your role visiting Clients, Prospects, Insurers & Supplies
