As part of the role, you will lead and participate in the successful delivery of web technology changes through the full web software development lifecycle, using Agile & lean principles in accordance with web standards and processes.

Salary (Grade H3) : £38,017 to £49,553 per annum, plus £2,166 per annum London Weighting

The Directorate of Communications, Marketing and Student Recruitment (CMSR) is looking to recruit a Web Developer for the Digital Team.

As part of the role, you will lead and participate in the successful delivery of web technology changes through the full web software development lifecycle, using Agile & lean principles in accordance with web standards and processes.

You will maintain and develop our current websites and applications, with continuous learning of new and evolving technologies.

Our current web development ecosystem requires :

  • Advanced development experience with React and its latest features, Redux, Hooks, etc.
  • Excellent understanding of HTML, CSS, ECMAScript 6, NodeJS and C#.
  • Knowledge of Webpack, Webpack loaders, and other configurations.
  • You will be educated to degree level in a relevant subject (or equivalent) or have relevant experience. In addition, you will have excellent communication skills as you will be required to document and explain issues and solutions, in a succinct and understandable way to technical and non-technical colleagues.
