As a BI Developer at Medivet you will be providing a vital function creating BI and Data solutions across the company, enabling stakeholders to generate insights, recognise patterns and make decisions.
The successful candidate will be joining our Data & Analytics team based in Watford, Hertfordshire. We currently have two Senior BI Developers in the team, looking to grow a further two heads.
The salary is up to £35,500 per annum, depending on experience.
Support the existing BI team to develop and maintain the current BI platform (SQL Server on-premise and SSRS / SSIS / SSAS)
Design and deploy the new BI infrastructure and environment (Azure and Power BI)
Migrate existing on-premise BI platform to the cloud-based environment
Drive the move to self-service BI capability across the company
Empower the existing BI team to develop and maintain the new BI platform
Work with the IT Service Desk to streamline support activities for the BI environment
Work with various department to address their data requirement.
Create data insights.
Perform data transformations, automating and creating solutions that drive value to business partners
Work with Strategic Partners to deliver outcomes that help the business execute on key programs of work
Develop and create tools to enable and drive the self-service agenda as part of the technology strategy and use of BI
Develop and Work with Data Cubes and present queries to them.
Create / maintain / develop the Data lake / data warehouse
Writing MDX / DAX queries to extract the data from cube
Experience in tabular and multi-dimensional cube
Develop scripts with SQL as needed
Skills and Experience
DBMS / RDBMS / DW : MS SQL Server
Database Tools : MS SQL Management Studio
ETL : SSIS, FTP
Reporting Tools : SSRS, SSAS, Power BI essential
Programming Languages : MS SQL
BI capabilities including Data Lakes, Tabular and multi-dimensional cubes would be an advantage
Full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) experience
Microsoft certification and Azure knowledge
Delivered BI reporting solutions in SSRS, Power BI and Azure desirable
