Group Reporting Manager

Salary : £Negotiable (DOE) + excellent benefits (pension, healthcare etc.)

About the role

Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, you will ensure that accurate and technically robust consolidated management accounts & divisional accounts are produced in a timely manner.

With sound knowledge of UK GAAP, FRS102 & IFRS, you will oversee the preparation of the Groups consolidated & individual UK accounts.

What you'll do

  • Responsible for the Groups multi-currency consolidation process, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of accounts and reports
  • Deliver a time efficient month end closing & consolidation process, streamlining the current reporting timetable
  • Collaborate in the improvement of the monthly reporting pack
  • Assist in the development and testing of the groups new ERP system consolidation process
  • Support group audit process
  • Review the preparation of Groups consolidated statutory accounts and the preparation of statutory accounts for the UK subsidiaries, ensuring adherence to UK GAAP, FRS102 and IFRS where appropriate
  • Prepare auditable notes for inclusion in the statutory accounts
  • Ensure compliance to group accounting policies
  • Manage a team of Management Accountants, with 1 - 2 qualified direct reports
  • Oversee Management Accounts team to ensure all deadlines are met, entity accounts and reports are accurate, and all statutory obligations are adhered to
  • Provide technical support and advice to the wider Finance Team on accounting treatments
  • Assist in the development of fundamental reports in the groups new ERP system to support the financials
  • Conduct Balance Sheet reviews and Profit & Loss analysis reviews, ensuring satisfactory resolution of queries and investigating trends & variances
  • Maintain robust internal control environment
  • Cultivate an environment of continuous improvement, facilitating the development & progression of the Management Accounts team
  • Document and further develop policies & procedures
  • Develop an internal audit programme
  • Participate in purchase accounting and acquisition integration
  • Project work as required
  • Support the Group Financial Controller with all financial reporting aspects of the group
  • About you

    You will be a qualified ACA, CIMA or ACCA.

    This role must evolve with the growing requirements of the business, so you will be continuously looking for ways to improve and challenge current processes.

  • Confident to make decisions in a timely manner, sometimes with incomplete information and under tight deadlines and pressure
  • Proactive and creative problem solver
  • Well organised, efficient with excellent attention to detail
  • Possess strong technical skills, with experience of FRS102, UK GAAP & IFRS
  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills with both financial & non-financial personnel
  • Adept in motivating & developing a team to their best potential
