Senior Surveyor, A&T - Contracted Accounts


The EMEA Transaction Management team is responsible for developing property strategy and overseeing the execution of transactions across EMEA for either one large, dedicated client or a number of clients with smaller transaction requirements.

Each Transaction Managers role will vary depending on whether it is based on a dedicated client account or a varied portfolio, the level of seniority required will vary dependent on the needs of the client but will follow those set out in the competency matrix.

Individual annual or specific project objectives are clearly set out for each client.

This exciting opportunity is for a Financial Services client with a European office portfolio. The role will also be focused on providing EMEA transactions management, financial analysis and business case summary for commercial real estate lease transactions related to CBREs Master Services Agreement with the client.

This is an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated individual who is seeking client-side experience whilst remaining connected to the wider Contracted Accounts platform within Advisory & Transactions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support customer relationship management with business unit leaders, incorporate clients implementation of globally mandated real estate processes and workplace solutions into Projects
  • Develop and summarize the goals for each transaction based on current market knowledge and expected market trends
  • Act as an extension of clients global real estate team and inform client Project Managers as to globally mandated processes, tools, workflow, governance, and stakeholders
  • Educate client Project Managers as to purpose of the global tools and address any queries
  • Understand and proactively manage clients real estate portfolio, including management of critical lease events and vendor or third party broker input to determine optimal strategy for each Project
  • Deliver a standardized Project Charter for each transaction including mandated processes, milestones, deadlines and responsibilities and issue standard reports on active project status
  • Prepare the appropriate documentation and secure required approvals from client, client Project Manager and third party advisors () as required
  • Prepare presentations or business cases for client real estate governance approval. Support may include financial analysis (), creating graphs / charts / presentation materials
  • Prepare market and financial analysis and write-ups for transaction and funding approval documents. Coordinate final production with other client groups such as Finance, Tax, and Legal
  • Effectively coordinate with Lease Administration team to ensure information is provided accurately and in a timely manner ().
  • Person Specification / Requirements

  • Owns and manages specific client relationships, manages people and handles contractual issues, handles all but the most sensitive issues with the client or third parties;
  • Enjoys detailed understanding of the contractual frameworks; contributes to negotiations. Develops plans to drive implementation of client strategy.
  • Can lead a client meeting and is capable of conflict resolution;
  • Provides value add to clients by really understanding client needs and identifying solutions which provide additional revenue
  • High level awareness of property finance in order to escalate issues. Able to undertake P&L and cash flow comparisons;
  • Experience with financial modelling in Excel is strongly preferred;
  • Demonstrates understanding of general commercial office leasing concepts;
  • Close attention to detail and strong organizational skills; ability to multi-task in order to meet client deadlines;
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to quickly form professional relationships with colleagues and clients at all levels of seniority;
  • Candidates with experience in real estate and / or accounting will be considered;
  • Proven client facing experience;
  • Ambitious and self-motivated;
  • Ability to build and maintain effective relationships to both internal and external CBRE clients
  • Accurate and exceptional attention to detail;
  • Good communication skills, both verbally and in writing;
  • Ability to chase for the information, build the relationships with brokers to provide data to reports;
  • Strong IT skills (Excel, PowerPoint, MS Outlook, Google workspace);
  • Strong analytical skills, financial / math skills and a keen sense of numbers and financial concepts;
  • Bachelors degree (BA / BS) in Real Estate, Finance, Accounting, or Economics is preferred but not required;
  • Proven capability in delivering Real Estate practices (preferred);
