WSP are seeking an enthusiastic, efficient and highly organised individual with a significant base of environmental and sustainability knowledge seeking a senior role within a leading environmental consultancy.

The successful applicant would be responsible for business development, bid preparation, project management and delivery, as well as working with the team across our range of projects in the UK and European marketplaces.

A typical week would include :

  • Environmental Management Systems (EMS) services to clients, EMS implementation, ongoing maintenance and good working knowledge with practical experience of the revised ISO14001 standard;
  • Lead auditor demonstrating experience in legal compliance, environmental management auditing;
  • Lead trainer, training delivery and training material development
  • Acting as key client contact, as Project Manager and / or Project Director
  • Client relationship management, awareness of client needs in context of project involvement
  • Lead on proposals and bidding, commercial awareness and management
  • Management of projects and financial reporting, engaging with clients with a commercial appreciation
  • We'd love to hear from you if you have :

  • Solid experience within a professional consultancy environment, or as part of an in-house environment / EHS / sustainability team
  • A degree in environmental sciences, environment and business or other relevant topic
  • Detailed knowledge of UK and European environmental legislation and practical application
  • Solid experience in developing and auditing EMS, including ISO 14001
  • Practitioner level or preferable full IEMA or other professional Membership / Chartered
  • Experience of developing and delivering environmental training
