  • A FTSE 250 business with new offices in the heart of Bristol, are looking for a driven Support Engineer to join them. You’ll be joining a thriving digital department and will be responsible for supporting end-users with the businesses’ 5 core websites along with their own mobile application and various internal systems.

    With huge plans for expansion in the works there is plenty for you to get stuck into from the get-go.

    What skills you’ll need

  • Proven background in a support based role.
  • Previous experience of ticketing systems such as Jira.
  • An understanding software development & user acceptance testing would be beneficial.
  • Experience supporting IT change projects would be advantageous.
  • Exposure to social media platforms such as Facebook & Twitter. Experience of social media tools such as Orlo would be a bonus.
  • Working knowledge of Agile.
  • What you’ll be doing

    As the Support Engineer you’ll be responsible for the 1st and 2nd line support of the businesses digital systems. Joining a digital department of 25 strong, your focus will be to handle technical enquiries relating to their external websites & mobile application as well as internal applications.

    You’ll be working closely with developers, testers and outsourced IT teams to resolve technical issues for end-users, so an awareness or understanding of the software development life cycle is beneficial.

    You’ll be engaging with customers across multiple platforms ensuring all correspondence is tracked and ticket queues are managed effectively.

    Though technical, this is very much a customer facing role so excellent communication skills are essential. You’ll be working in a fast-paced and collaborative environment this role offers excellent scope for progression and potential to move into developer or tester roles in the future.
