We are looking for a driven leader, who has strong experience on the Continuous Improvement (CI) agenda, as well as possessing multi-level stakeholder influencing skills, this position will give you unique exposure to both Manufacturing and Category growth.

Reporting directly to the Plant Director, this position will be a key part of the Plant Leadership Team, as well as supporting the Business Development and Engineering processes for the Sheffield Plant.

This includes effective planning and execution of the site technical change strategies, relating to new and existing products, packaging and processes for a plant.

As a key technical leader, you will support with the implementation of the operational excellence program in a specific function and / or for cross-functional CI projects.

You will be responsible for the development of the CI and Lean Methodology strategy. In doing this you would lead the whole Site TPM Agenda and Roadmap.

You are not only responsible for applying CI tools and techniques for problem solving and performance improvement but more importantly, you help the teams improve their CI skills and build their self-sufficiency.

How you will contribute

You will :

  • Provide coaching and mentorship to all Pillar Leads on CI tools and techniques to help drive teams through CI cycles. You will also coach employees to help them achieve their targets
  • Identify process improvement needs with department leads, facilitate sessions and support execution of newly established improvements
  • Once improvements are done, validate outcome benefits and support creation of new standards and qualification of members into new working processes
  • Project Development / Execution provide support on Innovation 2 Market / Initiative Management within the site
  • Provide site Asset Reliability write ups & prepare critical site inputs to the Regional BD, specifically for IIM Design Reviews.
  • Lead capital spend and phasing for all Engineering functions
  • Drive Ongoing business and Simplification : Integrate overall site change management agenda to ensure delivery of projects while maintaining service levels.
  • Manage ongoing reprioritization, De-complexity agenda and support the delivery of the site productivity and improvement agenda.

    Ensure execution of regional / global menu cards and ensure that manufacturing hurdle rates are met. Support Product supply for assessment of manufacturing solutions for current supply and demand gaps in the site

  • Execute capital projects to the highest standards of Safety & Quality.
  • Proactively review business and customer needs, transforming them into realisable propositions.

  • Strong operational & manufacturing experience
  • Knowledge and experience in TPM-Total productive maintenance, 5s, LEAN, 6 sigma tools and concepts, Safety & GMP standard
  • Good understanding of end-to-end processes in the manufacturing and business environment; working knowledge of commercialisation.
  • Strong technical expertise. Have a firm understanding of process improvement techniques and experience applying these to make strong organisational change.
  • Leadership Skills have a strong ability to coach and inspire other team members to achieve key CI and project results.
  • Highly action oriented, drive for results, innovative, challenging actual set-ups, entrepreneurial ability
  • Excellent communication (verbal & written), coaching, and leadership skills in a team-based environment
  • Demonstrated abilities in analytics, problem solving and team building
  • Possess excellent interpersonal skills and be able to work effectively with colleagues at all levels of the organisation.
