Job Description

To maintain, manage and support the MLRO in the development of systems and controls to counter financial crime, including market abuse and undertake the financial crime programme of activities.

  • A financial crime related financial services qualification (completed or working towards)
  • Practical knowledge, understanding and ability to apply the FCA and PRA handbooks of rules and guidance is essential to this role as is detailed knowledge of the JMSLG guidance.
  • Educated to degree level
  • At least 5 years’ experience of working in a financial services investment business
  • At least 5 years’ experience of working in a financial crime related role including investigation experience within a financial services environment
  • Experience of developing / changing processes and procedures
  • Previous experience of managing and developing staff
  • Life company experience
  • Experience in cyber-crime
  • Experience of market abuse related work
  • Knowledge of other compliance disciplines
  • Excellent written communication skills
  • Ability to engage with Senior Management
  • Ability to identify, analyse and review key risks and make recommendations
  • Ability to plan for and manage financial crime work in a creative and highly professional manner and have the vision and to deal with a fast growing and market leading business
  • Committed and organised with excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to communicate effectively and clearly
  • Ability to work in line with the Group's business objectives and ambitions
