The Reporting Business Analyst, working closely with the Business Intelligence Lead Business Analyst and selected 3rd party consultants, will ensure that the new and deployed reporting solution meet the identified functional business process requirements and is consistent with established Meggitt best practices.
The successful candidate will take a prominent position in the Business Intelligence within the Group Data function working with business users to define reporting requirements, act as a communication bridge between users and technical delivery staff, support designer and developer query resolution, facilitate user acceptance testing and encourage solution adoption.
Specific responsibilities :
The successful candidate will bring prior experience in similar roles and become a key part of the Business Intelligence team.
This candidate will work closely with resources from Meggitt’s Implementation partner as a member of an integrated team.
Work closely with MIS, functional leaders, and business departments to define and document business processes
Ensure the designed solution will meet agreed requirements
Ensure requirements have been prioritised appropriately
Ensure established Meggitt best practices are followed and that the documented reporting requirements are consistent with approved Meggitt Global Business Processes
Define requirements and conduct thorough testing of the developed solution and reports with end users
Communicate potential solutions through delivery of proof of concepts and demonstrations
Facilitate workshops and conference calls with business users as necessary
Document requirements, configuration and prepare user instructions
Act as a Liaison between users of the solution and the developers of the solution
Provide support to the business users during implementation and after solution Go-Live
Promote Innovation and continual improvement across the team and solutions to help evolve and support future technologies and create more efficient and effective reporting solutions.
Key skills and competencies required :
Demonstrable track record in similar activities
Experience with best in class BI / Analytics products
Knowledge and experience of Data Visualisation tools (e.g. Power BI, Tableau, Qlik)
Effective communication, senior stakeholders and end users
Ability to prioritize / deliver large numbers of solutions to evolving business requirements
Strong team work and collaboration skills
Good stakeholder management
Copes with change and works effectively without having the total picture Ability to organize people and activities into an efficient work flow (Efficiency)
Ability to travel in the UK as needed
Data Warehouse and Reporting solutions (e.g. SAP Business Objects / SAP Business Warehouse) is preferred
