We are looking to hire dedicated and efficient catering assistant to assist in all activities pertaining to catering. To be successful as a catering assistant, you should demonstrate a sound knowledge of food health and safety regulations to ensure the safety of service users.
Key Responsibilities Include :
Performing basic food preparation tasks, which include washing, peeling, and cutting fruit and vegetables, seasoning, and slicing meats, and preparing sauces and salads.
Clearing and cleaning tables
Cleaning of crockery and cutlery
Preparation of sandwiches ad rolls
Preparation of basic salads
Service of food to customers
Replenish food displays
Maintain cleanliness and safety of work area
Skills Required :
Basic qualification in food hygiene / food preparation or proof of satisfactory and certified in house training
Proven experience working in the catering industry.
A food handler's license.
Sound knowledge of food health and safety regulations
To be successful, you'll need to have :
Previous experience in the catering industry
A real passion for hospitality and delivering great service
Able to remain calm and composed in challenging situations
Team player and able to work in busy environments
Understanding of all shop management roles
