About the role

We will require the successful candidate to carry out maintenance, inspection and repairs to various types of electrical systems and distribution networks (lighting and emergency lighting / general power 230-400V / fire alarms and other wired SELV services).

With the ability to

  • Operate effectively and safely with breakdowns and damage to assets
  • Be an authorised person’ to undertake isolations, issue permits and other relevant associated works documents for low voltage electrical systems, ensuring they meet current legislation and regulations to align with STFC’s SHE codes.
  • Assist in the development of maintenance routines, procedures, risk assessments and preparing and maintaining relevant technical records.
  • About you

    Do you have recognised industry training? Are you qualified to a minimum standard of City & Guilds 2330 levels 2 & 3 (or an NVQ accredited equivalent) in a practical electrical engineering field along with

  • 18th Edition (IET) Wiring Regulations
  • Experience of Building and Facilities Maintenance
  • HV / LV trained working towards AP status.
