Senior Category Manager (Procurement Marketing Services)

As our Senior Category Manager, primarily responsible for our new media agency partnership with Publicis, you’ll play a crucial role in delivering our Group media strategy alongside the Intersnack Group International Media Manager.
This is a high-profile role, working closely with our Group Marketing Director and Director Business Development.
To act as a senior leader within Intersnack marketing community and Intersnack Procurement
To drive and implement best in class marketing sourcing strategies across the Group and within Management Units to deliver costs saving and increased marketing effectiveness across our brands
To lead negotiations within a negotiation team, especially Media and Financial Audit results across all markets
To run tender in various areas of Marketing
To lead commercial discussions internal and external and being the link to Legal Advisors
To give advice to internal stakeholders in terms of interpretation of contractual rights and obligations
To be the commercial relationship owner for Publicis Group who manage our media spend, driving their strategic performance and measuring their effectiveness in close co-operation with the International Media Manager of the Intersnack Group
To develop and implement a marketing procurement excellence toolkit (how to pitch, evaluation of agency performance etc.
to provide a standardised approach of marketing operations
To build and maintain strong agency relationships that drive additional value for Intersnack
Passion for marketing and creativity
Ability to jump into different roles for tactical negotiation situations
Proven track record in marketing procurement
Confident, articulate and a proactive thinker
Strong communication and presentation skills

Proven strong stakeholder management throughout all levels of an organisation
Significant experience in Marketing Performance, Agency Management & Commercial Excellence
A detailed working knowledge of Marketing operations’ and the processes to support this
Proven ability to professionally deal with unexpected issues arising throughout the delivery of complex projects
Strong negotiation skills
Reading and understanding of contractual langue
Commercial understanding of complex internal deals
Gravitas to be able to act as a strategic or tactical Lead in front of senior stakeholders
Clear articulation of the strategy and ability to summarise succinctly often complex marketing principles and logic
Degree level educated
Experience of working in a European / global environment.
Marketing procurement position held
