Key Accountabilities : Project Engineering :
Project Engineering :
Responsible for all technical aspects of a visual simulation program system including : system definition, configuration, installation, integration, test and final acceptance.
Recognises design defects and liaises with appropriate subject matter experts to find solutions when technical conflicts occur, particularly with customer expectations and system capabilities, and implements the appropriate corrective action.
Prepares, analyses, and updates schedules and cost-to-complete inputs. Anticipates and identifies variances and recommends corrective actions to management.
Interfaces through reports and meetings with program management and customers to communicate project status and to resolve project difficulties.
Travels in support of project requirements such as : customer demonstrations, working group meetings, design reviews, installation and integration, acceptance testing and trouble shooting.
Customer Focus :
Acts as the primary technical liaison with the customer.
Provides analysis of the customer's needs in terms of the functional requirements for simulation systems and participates in the technical proposal effort in response to Request for Proposals (RFP's).
Responsibilities include preparation of technical proposal outline, task description for proposal efforts, and contribution to technical proposal writing and review.
Defines the system configuration to ensure satisfaction of customer requirements. Clearly understands and communicates the relative strengths and weaknesses of the system configuration relative to the customer's requirements.
Evaluates specific implementation approaches to visual systems and determines the appropriate trade-offs in performance, cost, packaging, and interfaces.
Ensures all deliveries to program and customer during the development phase are made according to the program schedule.
Contributes to technical presentations and supports customer demonstrations.
Participate in cross-functional team efforts in definition, integration, verification, and validation of products and sub-
systems of moderate to high complexity.
Ability to coordinate activities and communicate effectively with employees at all levels.
Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) Discipline or, in the absence of a bachelor's degree, demonstrable and substantial related experience
Project / Systems Engineering background
Demonstrable experience of simulation and training systems
Demonstrable experience of customer and end user direct interaction
Ability to travel worldwide (approximately 10%)
Security Clearance (SC) or the ability to attain / renew
Experience of working with image generation and projector display systems
