SENIOR SOFTWARE ENGINEER (Python / JavaScript)- ASSISTANT MANAGER (D)

TEAM INFORMATION

As part of the engineering function in KPMG, we are software engineers who are dedicated to build products / services and work closely with the clients.

Particularly, in Financial Services we help our Banking (retail, corporate and investment banking) & Insurance products and clients to build and manage large scale, multi country, complex, technology enabled business transformation programmes.

We drive this transformation through the adoption of Cloud based technologies and have strategic relationships with Amazon, Google, Microsoft, and IBM to name a few.

As an integral member of the team, you will be working with a talented mix of product managers, solutions architects, cloud architects, cloud engineers, software engineers, test automation engineers & site reliability engineers to plan, build, deliver, and manage products & solutions.

About You

We welcome software engineers with experience in cloud environments who are happy to bring their experiences on board and add another dimension to our solutions.

To make you the best you can be, we would like you to have a never-ending appetite for new technology and desire to continuously improve the software development practices.

Essential experience and skills

Experience in JavaScript (react / NodeJS).

Experience with distributed systems and ability to build secure products at scale.

Experience using containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes etc)

Experience with RESTful APIs and microservices best practices.

Experience with CI / CD tooling (Jenkins, TeamCity etc)

Experience working with cloud platforms.

Worked with Agile methodologies (Scrum, pair-programming etc)

Desirable experience and skills

Solution development and delivery into at least one cloud platform (AWS, Azure, GCP)

Knowledge of Database systems and models.

Ability to use wide variety of open-source technologies.

Experience with logging / monitoring tools.

Knowledge of test automation frameworks.
