This is a great opportunity for an ambitious and successful sales professional with a proven track record of working with or knowledge of high-

spec technical products and a real passion for sales and all things technical.

Our client is a hugely successful SME organisation and due to continued growth they are looking to expand their sales team in the Birmingham area.

As Technical Sales Manager and with support from your team at Head Office, you will have the freedom to develop your own sales strategy, work remotely within the West Midlands area and target leading blue chip organisations.

Reporting into the Sales & Marketing Manager and working closely with the Senior Management team, your role will cover the full sales cycle ensuring a seamless process from initial contact, client presentation, proposal and pricing, project delivery to technical after service assistance whilst also actively building relationships and increasing sales opportunities with existing customers.

Additional responsibilities will include :

  • Developing an in-depth understanding of the products and services the company provides
  • Attending client meetings; planning and conducting PowerPoint presentations
  • Networking and representing the company at industry events
  • Providing detailed and accurate forecasting on KPIs and targets
  • Working with management to agree budgets, target clients and strategy in line with overall business plan
  • Monitor the customer market and competitor activity and provide feedback to management
  • The products you will represent are a significant high-spend investment, key to leading, advanced technology manufacturers.

    Existing clients include global brands, blue chip organisations and market leaders in Manufacturing, Engineering, Scientific, and Aerospace markets.

    To succeed in this role it is expected you will have a technical background which would include being educated in a relevant technical discipline and / or having solid technical sales experience.

    Additionally you must be able to provide examples of past sales successes and business wins and experience of B2B sales targeting large, multi-

    national Blue Chip companies

    Market knowledge within the Midlands area, specifically within the Automotive and / or Aerospace sector is highly advantageous and you should be able to build strong relationships and partnerships with clients, whilst engaging in highly technical business discussions and offering relevant and effective solutions.
