Working unsupervised, you will respond to service calls in an effective and efficient manner, ensuring risk assessments are conducted and documented prior to all works to be carried out, and complete all work to an agreed high level.
Duties will include :
Work unattended and unsupervised within the defined area of competence.
May at times be expected to supervise other more junior technicians
Attend and participate in customer meetings with basic supervision
Be able to understand and review, to a basic competency level, technical documents such as, wiring diagrams, P&ID drawings, Pressure Enthalpy diagrams, etc.
Create reasonably complex technical reports and standard dilapidation surveys.
Demonstrate and provide support to lower roles and grades in defined areas of competency
Able to produce and submit customer remedial quotations
Complete legible and technically correct day work, job and time sheets and submit promptly on a weekly basis.
Liaise with the office on a daily basis.
Respond, as directed, to service calls for both contract and non-contract customers.
Carry out and support commissioning duties as and when required.
Keep tools and equipment in good functional condition.
Keep company vehicle in good clean condition.
Be diplomatic and courteous and present a smart appearance when dealing with customers.
Wear company provided uniform.
Carry out stand-by duties as and when required.
Identify and inform the office of new business opportunities.
Work with due care in respect of the Health, Safety and Environment of yourself, customers and the general public.
Understanding of Achieving Competitive Excellence and willingness to contribute
Any other ad hoc duties.
Ensure adherence to all Company Policies and Procedures.
Complete quarterly ethics module as advised by Ethics & Compliance Officer (ECO)
Fully comply with all Quality, Environmental Health and Safety directives including but not limited to PPE, Accident Reporting, Cardinal Rules, Risk Assessment Method Statement (RAMS), and Achieving Competitive Excellence (ACE).
To be successful in this role you will :
Have previous successful experience within a similar temperature control background with a commercial refrigeration bias.
If not we may consider individuals who have a HVAC background, ideally working on Air Conditioning Units, AHU’s, Splits, VRV / VRF’s or within a chiller / refrigeration retail service or maintenance role.
You will ideally already be :
F-Gas qualified (brazing and charging and recovery of refrigerants)
With a minimum NVQ Level 2 in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning.
Current UK driving licence
