We are currently recruiting for an experienced Senior Associate to join our Nottingham office.

The role will involve providing high quality legal services and advice to existing clients, ensuring the Firm remains profitable by engaging in and developing new business.

You will also provide supervision and developmental support to junior fee earners.

Principle Accountabilities

  • Acting for family law clients on a wide range of legal issues with a particular emphasis on mid to high net worth financial remedy cases, pre and post nuptial agreements, same sex marriages / civil partnerships, cases involving an international element, cohabitation / TOLATA cases and private children cases. No Legal aid.
  • Act with honesty and integrity, as stipulated in the SRA Handbook and Code of Conduct.
  • Maintaining the level of competence and knowledge to practice efficiently by keeping abreast with changes and developments in the law.
  • Identifying, interpreting and applying the relevant legal principles.
  • Analysing problems, highlighting areas of risk and thinking critically to resolve issues.
  • Undertaking legal research when required.
  • Maintaining continued professional development, attending training courses were necessary.
  • Dealing promptly with correspondence and client enquiries.
  • Training Junior Fee Earners.
  • Recording for charged hours of work.
  • Cost effective handling of matters.
  • Skills, Experience and Qualifications Required :

  • A broad range of family law experience is essential.
  • Experience of pre and post nuptial agreements is highly desirable.
  • A willingness to actively engage in marketing and assist in growing the team is essential, as is a strong work ethic, total commitment to client care, a wish to work closely in a team environment and a strong sense of humour.

  • Candidates must possess previous experience in a similar role, accurate typing skills and have excellent attention to detail.
