Role purpose :

  • Lead the definition and drive the execution of the technology strategy for the IoT B2B BSS / OSS (CRM,Order Management, Product Catalog, Provisioning & Fulfillment, Billing & Charging) Architecture.
  • Deliver innovative and pragmatic Enterprise and Capability Architecture and Framework in line with business needs.
  • Ability to interpret technical issues and then effectively communicate a structured approach that addresses the needs and requirements whilst aligned with the defined architecture.
  • Demonstrate the capability to operate at all levels of seniority and create compelling communications that meet the different needs of the stakeholder groups, underpinned by solid methodology approach that yields tangible architectural artefacts and deliverables.
  • Provide technical expert contribution to the technology selection process and develop or buy decisions in synchronisation with Technology standards.
  • Participate in the design and execution of Architectural Governance across the relevant stakeholders.
  • Support the early life definition of Programmes and Projects including shaping and scope definition.
  • Represent Vodafone in standardisation and other industry forums in the area BSS and OSS technology.
  • With us you will :

  • Lead and drive the IoT architecture evolution, specifically BSS / OSS domain architecture with at least two focus areas (CRM, Product Catalog, Provisioning and Fullment, Billing and Charging ).
  • Manage the delivery of transitional and target state architecture for IoT B2B BSS / OSS architectute.
  • Manage and deliver Proof of Concepts demonstrating state of the art technology capabilities in BSS / OSS platform.
  • Insight into modern architectures, such as IaaS / PaaS / SaaS Cloud, Microservices is highly desirable.
  • Technology vendor recommendations and build vs buy decisions for target capabilities.
  • Apply if you have :

  • Experience in designing complex, distributed, secure and scalable end to end architecture solutions within complex organisations, preferably in the B2B market.
  • Must have prior experience of architecting and leading in telco BSS / OSS (CRM, Provisioning and Fulfillment, Product Catalog, Billing and Charging) transformation programs.
  • Strong knowledge of architecture best practices and design patterns, including :
  • Strong experience in designing and modelling Complex Customer Hierarchies , Product Models.
  • Ability to design conceptual and logical data models.
  • Experience of database architectures, data modelling, SQL and NoSQL approaches.
  • Sound experience working with a broad range of integration architectural patterns (e.g. SOA and microservices, etc)
  • Sound understanding of modern web architecture and Serverless architecture
  • Knowledge of container orchestration (e.g. Kubernetes)
  • In depth knowledge of cloud platforms (especially AWS)
  • Ability to conduct in-depth design reviews of large systems
  • Understanding of DevOps culture, practices and tools
  • Experience of production systems and the issues that arise, e.g. functional, performance, security
  • Proven experience of conducting technical workshops, presenting technical solutions, preparing architecture guidelines and technical strategy documents.
  • Experience of producing high quality UML based architecture artefacts.
  • Familiar with Enterprise Architecture frameworks (TOGAF, TM Forum, etc) and capable of suggesting new tools / process.
  • Good understanding of Telco Core Network Access technologies 3g,4g / 5g.
  • Excellent communication (both written and verbal) and presentation skills.
  • Must have technical / professional qualifications :

  • Relevant university degree (M.Sc., B.Sc. etc)
  • AWS Certified Solution Architect (Associate or Professional) (desireable)
  • TOGAF Certified (desirable)
  • SAFE Agile certified or extensive experience working in a scaled Scrum or Kanban environment (desirable)
  • Development background would be preferred.
