Job Title : Financial Planning and Analysis Manager
Location : Telford
Reports to : Head of Finance
To assist the Head of Finance in all operational financial reporting matters, including weekly reporting, KPI compilation, profitability review, budgeting & forecasting and other ad-hoc queries.
Deliver the finance reporting cycle in line with Group requirements (weekly, monthly, Quarterly, Annually)
Outline and report financial trends especially vs Budget and year on year that impact on the company’s ability to deliver budget
Lead submission and delivery of the budgets and reforecasts as required by Group
Lead management reporting on actuals versus budget and full explanations for variances delivering the forecast and budgets
Be an active part of the management team, ensuring the voice of Finance is heard
Manage and develop the Analysis team, managing all staff issues as necessary and provide support and development for Finance Business Partners
Be aware of the Muller GO system of financial control and adhere to it (as a minimum)
Maintain and improve the timeliness and accuracy of the weekly and monthly financial reporting system
Look to improve the reporting and analysis performed, including in-depth analysis of the results
Provide business partnering support to the Head of Warehousing and Head of Finance for their budgets
Prepare the story of the financials for review at Board level
Support KPI development, analysis and understanding within the business
Assist Head of Finance with all other adhoc requests and projects.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Qualified (ACCA / CIMA) Accountant, 5+ years’ experience Financial Planning and Analysis
Strong leadership skills required
Experience in warehouse and transportation preferred but not essential
Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills.
Highest standards of accuracy and precision;
Articulate with excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to think creatively, highly-driven and self-motivated
Naturally investigative mindset to help support, improve and challenge the status quo.
You will need to be able to bring a strong understanding of the Management Accounting cycle and a solid background in the finance arena.
Positive team player with strong interpersonal and influencing skills.
High degree of commercial acumen.
Desire to deliver against challenging deadlines
Strong organisational skills and a strong eye for the detail.
Ability to interact and influence finance and non-finance colleagues
Demonstrated ability to roll-up sleeves and work with team members in a hands-on management capacity
