The Telesales & Reservations team provide support to the pub businesses through a combination of inbound and outbound activity, ensuring the maximisation of revenue opportunities in all areas including accommodation, group reservations, conferences and events, by seeking and driving sales leads and increasing conversions.

Although a small team, the key is working in synergy with key stakeholders including Operations Managers, Brand marketing, Telesales and General Managers across our managed pubs, Little Gems and Pizza, Pots and Pints.

Key responsibilities :

  • Lead and develop the sales and reservations team enabling them to drive sales and provide customer service ensuring all correspondence meets Wells & Co standards
  • Measure identified KPIs and report event sales, leads and enquiry conversion rates, revenue figures relating to reservations team and room occupancy rates
  • Maximise revenue in all areas including; accommodation, group reservations, conferences and events
  • Drive sales leads and increase enquiry conversion rates
  • Drive ad hoc sales activity as necessary when required to fill diary white space’
  • Lead outbound sales activity, pro-actively seeking sales opportunities i.e. gifting options and leads to follow up
  • Manage allocation of accommodation, meeting and events spaces used for business purposes and maximise revenue through effective diary management and upselling strategies
  • Support pub businesses through a combination of inbound and outbound activity
  • Undertake local area research to identify key calendar dates in order to inflate room rates due to demand in the local area / season
  • Demographic research for targeted campaigns as advised by the Marketing Managers
  • Provide support in the drive and management of guest database
  • To partake in marketing support that may include new openings support and on-site marketing activity
  • Manage the response to all online reviews, ensuring complaints are forwarded to the relevant person for appropriate action
  • Have an in-depth understanding of current offers and keep up to date with all new products and activities across the Little Gem and Pizza, Pots and Pints brands
  • Candidates must as a minimum :

    Currently be in a Team Leader / Supervisor capacity in a "volume telesales or cold calling" environment, driving quality and sales performance in a targeted and dynamic environment

    Ability to drive sales performance in a targeted, entrepreneurial business and used to working to KPIs and using appropriate reporting to measure team against targets and actual sales growth

    Have a proven track record in a B2B sales role with a natural flair for dealing with a wide range of corporate and private clientele in a professional manner

    A pro-active approach to management, coaching, campaign planning and driving sales revenue are a must!

    Be results driven and have the determination to set and achieve goals, where sound negotiation skills will be paramount to this

    Be full of initiative, willing to lead by example and take appropriate action

    Be a strong communicator where ideas are conveyed effectively to the right stakeholders - ability to influence and liaise with all levels up to Director

    Live local to the Bedford area and be flexible with hours that will include early starts, later finishes and include occassional Saturdays

    In return you will receive :

    Salary "up to" £32,000 depending on experience
