Position at Wavemaker

Role context :

We are looking for a passionate experienced Programmatic Manager who has experience in the performance space - with a desire to learn more about how technology, and market leading solutions can innovate our current approach to programmatic for our clients.

And who will be an integral part of our programmatic activation team.

The focus for the Programmatic Manager will be the planning, and execution of best in market campaigns and ultimately to deliver valuable outcomes for our clients.

You will work across a range of platforms including Google's DV360, IAS, Prisma, and Teams - just to name a few. Other parts of the role will include project managing the day-to-day delivery of campaigns covering mediums including : display, video, native, and audio.

You will build strong relationships with your clients and act as a specialist advisor to them and their other agencies to maximise their partnership opportunities.

Candidates should have good trading and digital media experience with exposure to working with media publishers or media owners.

This role is a fantastic opportunity to work across a broad range of programmatic campaigns - focusing on the development of market leading strategies.

Programmatic Precision Manager

The successful candidate will be responsible for day-to-day campaign management, feeding in campaign insight to the response to briefs, planning, activation, reporting, and ad tech innovation opportunities.

It is important that this person is comfortable to build solid relationships with the clients as well as the team and Wavemaker colleagues.

The Programmatic Manager will report into an extremely talented and supportive Director / Precision Lead. This person will help set clear objectives, and train the individual to help them achieve these, as well as develop their skill set.

Your client will be British Airways, although there may be some flexibility at times to support the wider Programmatic team on other clients.

You will also work closely with the account ' s Precision Lead to build out to deliver transformative and forward-thinking solutions for the British Airways client, adapting to their individual needs and challenges.

    Client Servicing & Management

  • Convey a professional manner in all client communication with timely and accurate responses
  • Build strong, effective relationships with clients maintaining relationships of trust and respect
  • Demonstrate an understanding of the media and technology developments that influence our clients business.
  • Deliver excellence in client service - including : Quality control over all work produced Set up and attendance for all status meetings, reviews and general client meetings.
  • Ensure all client requests are met and surpassed and manage client expectation effectively. Respond to all client briefs and requests in a timely, professional and efficient manner.

  • Responsible for the effective management of finance processes including : Ensuring all bookings are added on the system correctly, and on time Reconciliations are completed on time SOX compliance.
  • Swift resolution of queries

    Strategy & Planning

  • You will have a basic understanding of wider strategic services including : Ad Ops, and Analytics
  • Based on the brief you will create a programmatic in-platform plan that fits the goals and profile of what the client wants to achieve, you should have knowledge to have an understanding of the feasibility of this plan
  • You will read all briefs received and share thoughts with your Programmatic Director and Precision Lead
  • You will be asked to support the strategic development process alongside your Programmatic Director and Precision Lead as required
  • Campaign Management & Performance

  • Your core role will be to activate and optimise digital advertising using DV360, as well as programmatic display campaigns with specific media partners.
  • Working with your manager you will be responsible for meeting and exceeding client targets

  • Act as central point of client liaison for all campaigns being managed by you
  • Quality control check and take full ownership of the output of your Executives around project management of campaigns
  • Ensure every campaign you pick up to manage has a clear set of measurable outcomes and that all parties (client, client teams and partners) are agreed on these outcomes / KPI's.
  • You will be responsible for working alongside the partner to meet and exceed any agreed targets.

  • Review campaign performance against targets and adjust optimisation activities accordingly
  • You will need to become an expert at using industry and Wavemaker tools and systems (e.g. business platforms (DV360, IAS etc ) to monitor campaign performance and conduct daily checks to ensure budget pacing is as planned and that activity is serving correctly
  • Work with the Client Lead / Precision Lead to ensure that campaigns are delivered with the original strategic concept in mind - and the campaign continues to reflect this
  • Ensure campaign is delivered in line with plan, and that any required changes are agreed with partner and client
  • Ensure all campaigns managed include a full media plan, regular reporting - that includes commentary explaining how the activity is performing, key optimisations delivered and next steps.
  • As well as regular updates and PCA's .

    Team Management

  • You will work collaboratively with team members in a professional manner
  • You will manage and potentially line report over junior members of the team, prioritising their workload and facilitating their development
  • Proactive development of account teams' expertise in all areas of programmatic activation
  • Other Relationships

  • Promote Wavemaker and its ambitions to stakeholders (clients, key partners).
  • Drive education and use of Wavemaker tools and services.
  • Develop strong relationships with relevant media owners and other service providers at an appropriate level.
  • Develop relationship with necessary external agencies on relevant client businesses to ensure integrated approach
  • Skills & Experience

  • Confidence in core trading platforms , in particular DV360. TTD, Amazon, and Adobe would be useful too.
  • Confidence in ad serving technologies with experience in troubleshooting tags
  • Optimisation savvy in the DSP
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Advanced excel skills and h igh level of numeracy
  • Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills
  • Good understanding of : Best in class planning principles and methods Analytical methods and tools Media research tools and techniques DSP and verification partner platform knowledge
  • Sound financial awareness, including processes and budget control
