Brand Designer at GoCardless

We are building a world-class brand from the inside and out to help grow our business.

We are looking for inspired and curious people to join the design function to help develop the culture, define principles, and collaborate with the wider team and our stakeholders to set direction for the future of the GoCardless brand.

About you

  • You have an excellent understanding of the foundations of design, such as space, form, colour, layout, typography and imagery.
  • You demonstrate great care, attention to detail and interrogate everything you do with precision.
  • Your work is your craft and have a high bar, holding yourself and others to account, while also welcoming criticism with integrity.
  • You understand the delicate balance of desirability vs delivery. You know when to ship and when to stand. You can manage and complete multiple projects meeting agreed deadlines.
  • You consider processes and scalability by default, appreciating the impact your actions and outputs have on others.
  • You thrive on autonomy and accountability with care and consideration for your collaborators.
  • You are curious, empathic, open to new viewpoints and have an interest in what happens around you and beyond.
  • About your role

  • You will be accountable for crafting best-in-class brand experiences.
  • You will challenge briefs constructively, solve design problems creatively, and generate ideas with strong conceptual foundations.
  • You will be partnering with the Marketing and Growth teams as well as working closely with other areas of the business to achieve the best way of communicating the personality of our brand and landing our messaging.
  • You will be drawing on experience, knowledge, and data, to help define the future of the GoCardless brand, pushing the boundaries of our visual identity, while ensuring a coherent brand expression and its integrity across different regions.
  • You will be confident using Adobe CC. We also use Figma if you don’t know how to use it we can teach you. Motion design experience is desirable, but not essential.
  • You will be using your skills to communicate concepts and processes with an emphasis on clarity and understanding.
