Role overview

You will become part of the NHS Transformation Project Management team and drive the successful delivery of the Unipart elements of the Core Technology Refresh Programme (CTRP).

The CTRP is a tripartite initiative between the Company, our client, SCCL, and their chosen IT Provider.

Project Manager Responsibilities :

  • Be the primary conduit between Unipart and stakeholders from other organisations
  • Direct work stream leads and their associated teams to effectively deliver assignments on time, keeping the plan on track, on budget, and within the scope of the Business Design Document
  • Ensure that work stream leads are aware of their activities and progress is monitored against objectives, targets and KPIs
  • Manage any deviation from the project plan using robust project management principles, methods and artefacts
  • Work inside of Unipart’s Project Delivery System (Clarizen) for the duration of the Project Lifecycle
  • Maintain an effective RAID Log (Risks, Actions, Issues and Dependencies) that shows tight understanding and management of all components therein
  • Manage readiness assessments and gateways as specified within the plan
  • Prepare clear, high quality project outputs such as executive summaries, milestone reports, meeting minutes, RAID Logs etc
  • Represent Unipart’s interests and escalate as appropriate any matters of concern
  • Project Manager Requirements :

  • A confident communicator
  • Graduate or equivalent level qualification, with at least 5 years’ project management experience
  • Prince2 or equivalent qualified
  • Additional accreditations in Lean Six Sigma, Agile or Scrum are beneficial
  • Demonstrable experience in managing multiple large, complex or high-profile projects
  • Experience working within the Logistics or Healthcare sectors
  • Strong interpersonal, influencing team-working skills
  • Pro-active stakeholder manager, with strong leadership and coaching skills
  • Good knowledge of office and project management systems
  • Commitment to continuous professional development
