Your Team responsibilities

MSCI is seeking a hands-on Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DE&I) Vice President to join our growing global DE&I team. This role will be based in New York or London.

You will be responsible for supporting the Chief Diversity Officer (CDO) with coordination, planning and communication of global DE&I initiatives and programming, maintain relationships with internal and external key stakeholders, and managing diversity data and reporting.

    Your key responsibilities

  • DE&I team liaison with Employee Resource Group (ERG) and Executive Diversity Council (EDC) leaders
  • Create standardized documentation and processes to define ERG governance and activities. Provide support for creation of new ERGs, as applicable.
  • Maintain DE&I and ERG budget serve as first port of call to vet ERG event requests (costs and concept) before making a recommendation to Chief Diversity Officer for approval;
  • partner with Procurement and Finance teams, as necessary.

  • Track ERG events; maintain catalogue of photos, event summaries and related DE&I communications.
  • Work with ERG leaders to create planned calendar of events and centralize DE&I communications, with the aim of avoiding event conflicts and encourage maximum participation from senior leaders and employees.
  • Plan quarterly EDC and ERG meeting logistics including scheduling, confirming agenda with CDO, preparing materials and PowerPoint decks, and circulating follow up summaries to ERG leaders
  • Collaborate with Employer Brand, Talent Acquisition, and Talent Management HR teams on DE&I initiatives, as applicable.
  • Partner with Internal Communications and Design teams on DE&I internal intranet stories, external social media posts, and other external marketing and communications opportunities.
  • Update and maintain DE&I SharePoint sites.
  • Review DE&I market updates and research and attend industry briefings where appropriate keeping abreast of latest DE&I developments, circulating industry news or trends.
  • Manage incoming requests from key business stakeholders.
  • Organize logistics of annual DE&I Summit including by : maintaining project plan, managing schedule of events / workshops, internal and external communications, preparing materials and coordinating with third party consultants, as applicable.
  • Provide input on DE&I reporting and dashboard to HR Tech and Analytics team and share data, as appropriate, with key internal stakeholders.
  • Champion and execute on global DE&I programming.
  • Your skills and experience that will help you excel

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience working in a financial services or similar organization.
  • Strong project management, oral and written communication, and presentation skills.
  • Minimum of 2 years direct DE&I experience preferred.
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office, specifically in Excel (e.g., pivot tables, v-lookups), PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
  • Strong writing and editing skills experience in writing firmwide communications in partnership with Marketing / Communications and functional owners preferred.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to independently manage and follow up on multiple concurrent tasks and requests on tight deadlines.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong team player collaborative and focused on collective objectives and goals.
