The Role

We are looking for an enthusiastic IT Service Continuity Analyst; it is an exciting time to join an expanding team and you will have the opportunity to help shape the current capabilities and contribute to the future success of the department.

The purpose of the role is to develop and provide administration insight and support to the IT Service Continuity Management (ITSCM) function to support the effective delivery of ITSCM services and Disaster Recovery capability.

Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of the ITSCM services to assure ongoing improvement to the maturity of the ITSCM function

Job Specification

Develop, administer and provide guidance on the ITSCM SharePoint site to include management of user groups, access requests and other site administration so that effective standards and skills are in place to support ITSCM controls and governance.

Analyse and interpret information on ITSCM services. Collate, prepare, distribute and present reports, summaries and communications that are clear, relevant and accurate so they meet team, management and Steering Group requirements.

Co-ordinate reporting activities across the ITSCM team. Maintain a single source of regular status reporting so that tracking is effectively undertaken to provide a consistent and accurate view of ITSCM and Disaster Recovery capability and resilience.

Develop and maintain effective, confidential document repository within ITSCM SharePoint site that is compliant with NFU Mutual policies and ensures information is secure and accurate.

Coordinating electronic access to, and hard copy distribution of, the DR Plans and ITSCM artefacts to authorised persons.

Assist in the maturing and development of ITSCM services, building on interdepartmental relationships and processes. Support and track the implementation of audit, health check and assurance through attestation to ensure adherence to ITSCM framework, controls, standards and methodology across NFUM IT Division.

Co-ordinate and perform routine updates to the detailed artefacts supporting the ITSCM, responding to changing situations and issuing annual review reminders as appropriate in accordance with ITSCM policy to ensure ITSCM resources time is managed effectively.

Plan, organise, coordinate and manage the administration of ITSCM workshops and other meetings and events, including agendas, papers, minutes, catering, venues and equipment to ensure they meet requirements, operate effectively and professionally and attendees receive a first class service.

Evaluate, facilitate, coordinate and monitor all forms of correspondence received via the ITSCM mailbox to ensure a timely and appropriate response and that priorities and actions are either effectively highlighted to the relevant people within ITSCM or, within authority limits, resolve queries in liaison with correspondents to avoid unnecessary work for ITSCM team.

Deliver short term, one off projects and activities as required by and to the standards and outcomes agreed with Line Manager

Person Specification

  • Significant experience of SharePoint Site Owner Administration is essential
  • Some experience of IT Service Continuity Management, having performed similar support roles in equivalently sized organisations
  • Demonstrating flexibility, diplomacy and discretion
  • Working autonomously, under pressure and to very tight timescales
  • IT literate on a range of software packages including MS Access, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Qualifications

    SharePoint Site Collections and Site Owner Administration Certification (desirable)
