Technical Architect (Service Build)

Customer Communications Management (CCM) andTransactional Print & Mail

PURPOSE OF ROLE

Thisposition supports the implementation of newly won contracts either withinexisting Xerox Shared Delivery Centers or as on-

premises, dedicated facilities.Candidates should expect to work across data processing, document composition,transactional print and multi-

channel delivery functions.

TheTechnical Architect is focused on :

Working closely with Solution Architects,IT Teams and Service Delivery to implement transactional print and CCMsolutions.

Managing the development and testing ofapplication specific workflows including low-level workflow configuration.

Supporting service transition into liveservice delivery including configuration and documentation of both software andhardware components.

Supporting the Change Management Processand engaging the Solution Architect to revise the solution as necessary basedon changing client requirements.

Maintaining expertise in the servicesXerox offers and the products and solutions that are used in the delivery ofthose services.

Maintaining a broad awareness of thedevelopment of technology and services within the Customer CommunicationManagement, multi-

channel communications, and transactional print industry.

SCOPE OF ROLE

Workingin close collaboration with Solution Architects, IT Developers, ServiceDelivery and external partners, the Technical Architect will orchestrate andenable the development, testing and deployment of new production applicationsand production infrastructure.

The Technical Architect will manage and lead theimplementation work stream from contracting to handover to the service deliveryteams.

TheSolution Architect is accountable for comprehensive, end-to-end solutiondeployment, testing, documentation and successful handover to Deliveryfollowing approval at an Operational Readiness Review.

Extensivetravel may be required.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Duediligence Activelyparticipates in discovery projects designed to validate solution assumption,mitigate risk and ensure the smooth delivery of contracted solutions andsubsequent performance to agreed service levels.

Operationalprocedures design & documentation works with colleagues in Service Delivery andin IT Training to ensure solutions and operational procedures are fully andclearly documented and understood.

Formalizationof support procedures Ensures that ongoing support procedures are fully documented and thatClients and Service Delivery are able to raise and escalate any issues orconcerns.

Test plansand test execution Prepares and executes test plans for all new applications and changes toexisting applications.

Escalates failures to IT development Teams and to theSolution Architect to effect solution design changes if required

Technicalinput to implementation plans & training plans provides specialisttechnical and procedural input to implementation and training plans

Re-use ofKnowledge Proactively shares knowledge withcolleagues and provides feedback to enable continuous improvement and learningfrom past experience.

Updates andimproves standard methodologies and collaterals based on learning and customerrequirements / feedback. Promotes knowledge sharing with other stakeholders.

Development Focus Takes responsibility for ownprofessional development. Additionally,contributes to the development of Technical Architectexpertise and methodologies within Xerox by sharingexperience and presenting to colleagues at team events.

BACKGROUND,EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

Background - Complex, services based, technologyenabled outsourced businesses such as transactional print and mailing and theonboarding of transactional print and multi-

channel delivery applications

Experience - Onboarding and automating transactionalprint and mailing applications and with particular emphasis on the migration ofpaper-

based communications to digital delivery. The successful candidate must be able todemonstrate hands on experience in projects delivering personalized, 1 to 1communications and resulting in the delivery of transactional and promotionalcommunications using multiple channels.

Candidates must be familiar with anumber of the following areas and technologies :

Multi-channeloutput delivery (Ideally with experience of the Quadient Inspire Suite)

Productionworkflow automation (Ideally with experience of scripting & configuring theQuadient Inspire Automation Suite.

Securefile transfer techniques

Pagedescription languages, format conversion and data triggers

Datacleansing

Mailsortation and postal discounts

Documentcomposition and composition software (Quadient Inspire, HP Exstream, Doc 1etc.)

Digitalprinting & enveloping

Hybridmail solutions and their business application

Supporting Skills

Hasgood communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability todescribe the technical features and business benefits of solutions proposed.

ExcellentMS-Office skills

Qualifications(desirable but not essential )

ITILand familiarity with its principles and practical application

Microsoftcertifications
