Finance Analyst - EPS

The EPS Controls and Strategic Initiatives team is seeking a creative and collaborative Financial Analyst to support a dynamic and growing part of the EPS portfolio.

Our team empowers delivery of EPS organizational and strategic goals through financial intelligence and operational excellence.

As part of the EPS Controls and Strategic Initiatives team, you will manage several of our core compliance deliverables (ranging from contract compliance, Internal / External Audit management and Transfer pricing support)

In addition, you will be responsible for liaising with internal stakeholders across multiple functions to support the rapid growth of the B2B business, driving continuous improvement in execution.

You will serve as a trusted advisor, running meetings across multiple teams including Sales, Operations, Product, Finance, and Technology teams as well as Expedia Group corporate departments (Accounting, Tax, Treasury and Audit).

What you'll do

  • Own a broad range of core compliance deliverables (i.e transfer pricing reporting, contract compliance and Internal / External Audit management)
  • Manage an end-to-end SOX controls programme (from control design, narrative and process flow documentation, control amendments, SOX certification)
  • Act as a primary point of contact for Internal / External Audit partners
  • Identify and simplify complex problems, recommend solutions and influence stakeholders to see your recommendation through to implementation
  • Perform data analysis to evaluate existing business / operational processes; recommend / design / implement effective and scalable operational, SOX compliant processes and process enhancements
  • Establish strong working relationships with business partners across various teams
  • Ad-hoc projects as required
  • Who you are

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field
  • Experience in Audit, Accounting or Finance
  • Professional can do work ethic, with the ability to handle many conflicting tasks
  • Ability to simplify and solve complex problems
  • Ability to business partner effectively with stakeholders from diverse functional areas & backgrounds to embed best practice within the business
  • Ability to work both independently with minimal direct supervision and as a team member
  • Committed to pro-actively building & lasting relationships across the organization
  • Receptive and adaptive to a rapidly changing business environment while maintaining focus on key business goals and objectives
  • Advanced Excel skills with experience of handling large and complex data sets
  • Strong verbal and written communications, able to run stakeholder meetings and influence effectively
  • Experience with the following systems a plus : Visio, Tableau, SQL and Business Objects
