The impact we seek is even more aspirational, with us looking to inspire people through technology. Whether those people are our customers and Nandocas (our name for our employees), our partners with whom we co-create, others across the restaurant sector, and even working on consumer experiences at large who are inspired to follow- that’s our purpose.
The last year has been an incredible catalyst for change, compressing the arrival of digital in our customer experiences into a matter of months which might have otherwise taken years.
This is just the start, though. The customer’s mobile phone might well be accepted around a Nando’s meal, but it is far from being appreciated with digital experiences all but beginning to tap into the higher-order emotional states of our customers.
We also have many exciting opportunities internally, without which the customer experiences will only hit a glass ceiling, and business growth will be constrained.
Many of the technologies which are widely adopted in both advanced and scaled-up manufacturing facilities are becoming viable in smaller-scale environments, such as restaurants.

Key Skills Required : A passion for end-to-end delivery and your team, and the desire to learn more about technology, products and delivery and to motivate others to do so Ability to take a consistent approach to planning, forecasting, estimating, and managing uncertainty, metrics and measurements, contingency planning and road mapping Experience leading and supporting a team of hardworking, forward-thinking system engineers, network engineers, and DevOps engineers Experience leading full-cycle hardware / application deployments from project inception to ops handover Exceptional organisational skills with experience managing and working within budgets and time-pressured environments An agile and lean advocate, able to adapt frameworks for new projects and share knowledge and understanding without being dogmatic Flexibility and able to tailor a framework to project needs as well as pick up an existing project and maintain process and delivery quality Great facilitation, diplomacy and negotiation skills, enabling you to have difficult conversations with the client and team Focused on business value and customer needs, with the insight to articulate what success looks like, why it looks like and how to measure it Brilliant communication skills and ability to tailor your message to suit your audience’s needs (who may or may not be technical) Other skills which would be advantageous : Experience in prioritising and managing product backlogs Jira / Confluence (or any similar workflow management tools) Experience with customer-facing products, ideally in the Hospitality and / or Retail industries Basic understanding of foundations services technologies Managing multiple 3rd parties Deployment of Wi-Fi and SD-Wan
