A brand-new opportunity has arisen for a Specialist Support Worker to work in a supported living environment in Knottingley .
In this position, you will be supporting individuals with autism who have difficulty interacting and communicating, restricted interests and repetitive behaviours, and face challenges in their ability to function across all areas of life.

What are the requirements to become a Specialist Support Worker?
Previous understanding and knowledge of MCA and DOLS (we will provide refresher training on both)
Understanding of what a journey for people going through trauma would look like, or an understanding of supporting individuals with a developmental condition and a learning disability.
Be proactive and focused on the key aspects of outcomes / person led care and support, and implement this into your role.
Ability to work positively with someone who has a forensic background that can be quite significant (some sexualised / violent) by being able to look at the person they are today and work in an outcome-based way while understanding their background.
Only males will be considered for this position due to the background and the preferences of the individuals you will be supporting.

For this role you will need to be available to start by the end of October, we are holding interviews this week and next.
