The following list of duties is not exhaustive but gives a flavour of the duties the Finance Assistant undertakes :

  • Posting of approved month end adjustments and journals into the nominal ledger
  • Creating and maintaining balance sheet reconciliations
  • Assisting with planning and forecasting
  • Assisting the Business Services Finance team with mobile cost allocation and reporting
  • Creating monthly journals based on data provided from external sources
  • Assisting the Business Services Accountant with updating the firm project costing tracker
  • Exposure to wider finance roles such as assisting with subtenant management
  • Supporting the team by creating key month end journals
  • Ad hoc reports, queries and reconciliations
  • Knowledge, skills and experience required (bespoke to role)

  • Previous experience gained within a finance capacity
  • Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
  • Ability to use own initiative
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Good communication skills
  • Good analytical skills
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy
