RECP’s mandate includes the origination of higher leverage mortgage and mezzanine loans (as well as the origination of loan-

Candidates will :
work alongside all members of RECP (from the Analysts to the Managing Director) on the evaluation, underwriting and structuring of real estate debt facilities across the European real estate finance markets and in doing so, will gain a deeper understanding and appreciation of these markets (from both a debt and equity point of view);
be involved in all stages of the origination of real estate debt transactions, from the initial screening of a new transaction, to the due diligence and documentation review, through to the loan closing process;
perform valuation analysis using various real estate valuation methodologies, including discounted cash flows as well as reviewing valuations prepared by third party valuation firms;
be responsible for building detailed financial models to evaluate real estate performance under various operating scenarios and to analyze the impact of various capital structures;
provide analytical, due diligence and transactional support on loan origination and new business opportunities as well as providing support in respect of the on-
going management and monitoring of existing transactions that have been executed by RECP;
assist the team with the preparation of presentation materials for use in credit committee meetings covering topics such as deal-
level strategy, market overviews and commercial real estate activity updates;
be involved in conducting product and sector research as well as being responsible for presenting this research to the wider RECP team and to clients;
and have the opportunity to attend industry events and presentations (i.e.
from valuers, lawyers and other third party industry bodies) as well as RECP client and team social events.
What do you need to succeed?
BA or equivalent (2 : 1 or above) with an emphasis in finance / accounting and / or real estate finance from an academically renowned university together with a proven track record of academic excellence at all levels;
good experience in either investment banking or real estate private equity / finance focused business together with an ability to demonstrate a genuine interest in real estate finance and in the financial markets as a whole;
excellent quantitative, analytical, research and communication skills;
high proficiency in computer applications such as MS Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel;
prior knowledge of or a keen interest in learning modern BI (big data) analytics and data visualization tools such as Tableau, QlikView, Power BI, Google Data Studio or Palantir;
an ability to manage multiple competing priorities and a willingness to assume a high level of responsibility;
initiative and eagerness to learn, determination, a can do attitude and a sense of humour each of which you’ll need to succeed in the fast paced and challenging commercial environment that RECP provides;
a collaborative mindset with a strong team player attitude; and
a personality and interests outside of your academic studies someone who can bring something of themselves to the team.
