About the role
The Senior Principal Silicon Package Integration Architect holds a key role within TeamNexperia, leveraging specialist technical expertise to drive forward competence at the interaction of Power MOSFET die with packaging.
This role is particularly suited to individuals with a high level of motivation and an aptitude for pushing technological boundaries.
What you will do
Lead investigations and research to understand the issues caused by interaction of Power MOSFET silicon with power packaging, especially clip bonding
Investigate interface materials to enhance device performance and reliability such as polyimide and copper plating
Oversee the planning, execution and analysis of diffusion, assembly and lifetest trials
Conduct feasibility studies on new technology concepts and process changes, assessing and ensuring implementation of technical improvements
Communicate effectively with team members, stakeholders and external partners
Apply expertise to increase functional and technical organisational competence
Drive business-critical engineering activities across the organisation
What you will need
Degree or equivalent in Electronics Engineering, Physics, or a similar discipline, PhD and relevant patents strongly preferred
Expertise in power semiconductor device physics, especially silicon MOSFETs, including electrical operation, packaging, reliability, and failure modes
Understanding of fabrication processes and device structures of power MOSFETs and their interactions with electrical parameters
Experience with design of experiments, mask layout, and electrical characterisation of devices
Familiarity with TCAD simulation tools, SPICE modelling advantageous
Proven track record of accomplishment in an engineering or technical management role
Strong project management skills combined with an innovation mindset
Ability to communicate complex concepts and requirements clearly and to influence stakeholders at all levels
