Loss Adjuster Assistant

Our client have an exciting opportunity to join their growing team as a Loss Adjuster Assistant. This position will be based within a progressive insurance services company and has plenty of room for personal and professional development.

This position is full time and will be based in a brand new office in Birmingham, and our client have flexibility in regards to hybrid working.

The role :

Working from Birmingham, you will provide administrative support to at least 3 Major and Complex Loss Adjusters who work across the Midlands.

As a Loss Adjuster Assistant you will support the claims portfolios by arranging appointments and coordinating information for reports and enquiries.

Your main responsibilities will be :

  • As a Loss Adjuster Assistant you will be the first point of contact with claimants and brokers to discuss the claim assigned to your adjusters.
  • You will manage instructions with excellent interpersonal skills and therefore create good client relationships while coordinating speedy resolutions for claimants.
  • You will take responsibility for appointment scheduling and diary management, as well coordination of instructions for emergency work relating to contractors.
  • You will create task lists, letters, reports, and technical queries for your assigned Adjusters.
  • You will also have ability to be involved in projects and overseeing caseloads in the Adjuster's absence.
  • Your experience :

  • You will ideally have prior experience in a Loss Adjuster Assistant position, with a background in property claims in particular.
  • Good negotiation skills for negotiating with claimants within TCF and Client requirements.
  • Excellent knowledge of the insurance claims process and how your role will relate to this.
