Role Purpose :
and, regulatoryservices activities undertaken by local Compliance staff within theregion.The Regulatory Services Team isresponsible for overseeing all regulatory interactions, as well as regulatorynotifications, applications and reporting across the region.
Key Responsibilities :
1.Supportthe delivery of the Regulatory Services team plan delivering efficiently andeffectively against team and individual objectives.
2.Input andsupport the coordination and maintenance of the regulatory interactionsframework across the region.
Ensure records of regulatory interactions are recorded andretained this may include monitoring regulatory communications, support inthe preparation and delivery of briefing packs, interview preparation and mayinclude note taking.
3.Supportand maintain records in relation to regulatory interactions, notifications,applications and reporting. Escalate to the Compliance Manager -
RegulatoryServices; the L&C Operations team; and / or Compliance staff within theregion where necessary.
4. Own andmanage applications and notification for EEA passporting with the relevantregulators.
5.Developworking relationships with key stakeholders within the Chubb Europebusiness.Work collaboratively with theother areas of the Legal & Compliance function, in particular L&COperations, Company Secretariat and Legal.
Ensure that the Compliance Manager Regulatory Services is informed ofongoing activities.
6.Regulatoryreturns and notifications to draft regulatory notifications and collateregulatory returns that Compliance is responsible for submitting, in additionto providing support and guidance as necessary.
7.Maintainthe relevant passporting applications / notifications in order that Chubb cantrade across the region.
8.Supportthe delivery and maintenance of Compliance’s work on individual accountabilityregimes across the region.Support thecollation, maintenance, completion and submission of applications and theirassociated documentation such as Management Responsibility Maps and Statementsof Responsibility.
9.Providesupport to and carry out work as directed by the Compliance Manager Regulatory Services and Deputy Head of Compliance -
Europe.Deputise for the Compliance Manager Regulatory Services, as required.
10.Ensureteam procedures and Village pages are continually maintained, and accessible torequired audience.
11.Develop,input and extract MI for regular reporting to compliance management and SeniorManagement.To include but not limitedto Diligent, The Village, action tracking, meeting management, agendas andmeeting minutes.
University Degree (desirable)
Working to or attained CERT CII / CII
Experience of insurance industry is very important.
A working knowledge of the French and UK regulatory systemsis important, plus French language skills are desirable.
The candidate should have a strong knowledge of theinsurance industry. They must also havea good understanding of the UK regulatory environment.
Some knowledge and experience of otherregulatory environments in Europe would be beneficial.
The candidate should have the ability to work within a smallteam of compliance professionals and should be adept at managing competingpriorities with excellent time management and organisation skills with a keeneye for detail.
The candidate should also have strong inter-personnel skillsand be skilled at communicating compliance and regulatory issues to keystakeholders, both verbally and in writing.
