My Client are an internationally recognised mechanical, electrical and instrumentation engineering contractor. They have a well-established presence in Ireland, the UK and Northern Europe, working with excellent clients across various sectors such as Datacentres, Pharmaceutical, Petrochemical, Industrial and Commercial.
About the Role :
We are looking for an experience M&E Planner to join the family; the projects you will work on will consist of commercial works including Healthcare and Education on projects from £2M up to £50M.
You will be based on site at Didcot
The M&E Planner will be proactive and able to work individually as well as part of a team. You will also be able to plan a project from start to finish and you will have a wealth of knowledge in M&E.
The planner is seen as the facilitator of the Project Controls System and will be aided by the greater project team. The M&E Planner will be confident in representing Dornan at Progress / Planning meetings / workshop’s
The M&E Planner responsibilities include-
The planner will work with the team to develop programmes from Pre-Construction to Construction and Commissioning. Project Planning will be completed using Primavera P6 or ASTA Power Project
Development of the Project Controls Systems specific to the Project including :
Setting up WBS
Set up Progress Measurement System (PMS)
Develop the Schedule, S-Curves and Manpower Histograms
Cost Loading of Programs (as required)
Baseline the Schedule
Implementing the Project Controls systems
Progress Measuring of all works, Direct & Sub-Contract, using the Dornan bespoke PMS
Monitoring of Labour man hours & Analyse Labour Efficiencies
Update the Schedule in Primavera / ASTA
Systems Turnover Tracking
Monitor delays & client Notifications as required
Monthly Project Reporting to Senior Management
About the Candidate :
The successful M&E Planner must have
Experience in Mechanical / Electrical contracting planning for installations
3-5 years’ planning experience after training
Ex-Trade & Engineering Degree candidates will be considered
Computer skills requirements of the M&E Planner
Primavera P6 or ASTA PowerProjects
General requirements of the M&E Planner
Good communication Skills.
Good Time Management Skills.
Ability to work individually and as part of a fully integrated team is essential.
