Where does this role fit within Ted's Team? The role of the Location Manager is to lead the location with an entrepreneurial flair running the business like it’s your own.

Ensure the achievement of KPI’s by creating an environment of genuine customer connection looking to maximise sales and motivating the team to achieve excellence.

The role will guide the store to drive sales and service through education and passion for the designs and collections across the brand.

To be accountable for spurring the business forward and be an inspirational ambassador of Ted who understands and promotes the Company Mission Statement’ and Strategy’ Main Responsibilities : People

  • Display confident leadership, effectively inspiring the team to achieve excellence
  • Work with integrity and respect for others; create excellent team participation and ensure the team and location are presented to the highest standards

  • Engage and inspires the team to deliver excellent customer service at every opportunity with passion and enthusiasm
  • Ensures training and development of the team is continuous by using Teds Talent & Development resources to enable them to be up to date and knowledgeable on current business focuses
  • Provides timely support and coaching to the team at all levels on a pro-active and re-active basis
  • Appropriately document and manage underperformance sharing these matters with the Area Manager and People Team
  • Display high levels of personal motivation and implement effective incentives to inspire and drive the team
  • Proactively identify and resolve recruitment needs, through a high level of team understanding, effective succession planning and networking.
  • Use Company tools to effectively on-board New to Ted’s (NTT’s) and New to Position’s (NTP’s)
  • Hold regular management meetings to review business and forward plan
  • Keep up to date with the Retail sector constantly looking for new ways of working, and future initiatives which are relatable to Ted. Product
  • Develop and inform team members on up to date product knowledge and report regularly on customer reactions, performance and opportunities to maximise sales and increase customer loyalty
  • Be accountable for and educate team members on effective implementation of merchandising guidelines, replenishment methods and housekeeping standards to ensure that Ted is always represented at the highest level
  • Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of Teds current season, including licence and exclusive product available on the website
  • Be knowledgeable of product, mix, holding and performance in the location and feedback regularly on risks and opportunities to influence positive action Commercial
  • Accountable for maximising sales potential and ensuring the team are expertly delivering TSE expectations.
  • Accountable for ensuring the team are delivering GOTFAT with enthusiasm and consistency both online and offline
  • Create an effective sales environment through strong understanding of local market, customer profiles and shopping behaviours;

  • Accountable for coaching team members to deliver an effective and natural approach to sales, aligned to our brand
  • Accountable for driving the team to achieve the location’s performance targets and KPI’s
  • Work to set budgets and effectively manage the controllable elements of the store profit and loss to deliver contribution
  • Generate marketing opportunities within the brand guidelines and drive success of all brand promotions ensuring that all of the team are informed and involved in the activities in the location
  • Ensure the teams effectively capture customer data at PoS where relevant and understand how this actively informs customer relationship management
  • Build and maintain awareness of our competitors and local markets sharing any relevant findings with your Area Manager and leadership team
  • Comprehensive knowledge and interpretation of location actuals, targets and KPI’s and develop commercial actions to deliver on these
  • A strong digital focus with the ability to embrace and drive new initiatives from concept to implementation, helping support new ways of selling and brand profile enhancements
  • Keep yourself, team and customers up to date, and take an active interest in engaging with Ted’s social media activity. Operations
  • Be highly organised and ensure all adhere to store administration, systems and processes within The Global Retail Hub / Operational guidelines
  • Displays a competent knowledge and understanding of company business systems such as Teds Vault, AX and SharePoint
  • Consistently drives and samples all company operational KPI’s
  • Take responsibility for the management of controllable costs to deliver on Profit and Loss expectations
  • Protect the assets of the Business by : o Ensuring the location meets the required Company standard and legal compliance in Health & Safety and maintenance.
  • Sample regularly and take any corrective action.o Ensure the location meets the required Company standard and legal compliance in Security and Loss Prevention.
