JOB SUMMARY

To work within the Club’s Commercial department assisting with the day to day running of the Club’s commercial engagement

Working in tandem with the Club’s Commercial professionals, to input to the delivery of the Club’s commercial activity

To develop the personal skills required to pursue a career in this sector

To practice the processes prevalent within the various mediums advanced within the Club’s commercial output

The young person will develop a full range of technical skills in this role. The importance of team work and communication will be developed.

Interpersonal skills, as well as technical awareness will be advanced by a specific training programme, tailored to the individual needs of each young person.

They will go through initial assessment to ascertain their current state of readiness to enter the realm of marketing and commercial activity.

A mentor will be responsible for their development throughout the programme, providing weekly one to one feedback and ongoing appraisal.

SKILLS NEEDED

Essential- IT skills. Desirable- related qualification, communication skills, ability to work with others, interest in professional football

WORKING HOURS

Mon-Fri, 9am-3pm Will work some Saturdays with a day off in lieu that week

HOURLY RATE

National Minimum wage

ADDITIONAL EMPLOYABILITY SUPPORT

A line mentor will provide for the development of the young person, advanced by a specific training programme, tailored to the individual needs of each young person.

They will go through initial assessment to ascertain their current state of readiness to enter the realm of football media.

A mentor will be responsible for their development throughout the programme, providing weekly one to one feedback and ongoing appraisal.

Their assigned mentor will help them through a portfolio of tasks to develop their employability skills throughout the programme.

Training in IT, health and safety, communication, personal finance, CV writing, employment searches will all be provided.

  • Also in working with SCVO, our Kickstart Gateway the employee will have access to a further package of support that will include;
  • access to a Kickstart employee forums, additional training sessions employability Award, wellbeing, finance etc., and access to a dedicated Open University portal with courses in Skills for work and employability, Digital Skills, Skills for life, The voluntary sector and Leadership and management.

    They will also work individually with the employer where with the employee they identify specific support / training needs.
