W hat's involved?
Side by Side is an Alzheimer's Society service which helps people with dementia to do the things they love with the support of a volunteer.
The extra support can make it easier for people with dementia, who might sometimes feel isolated or find it difficult to leave their own homes, remain active and feel part of their local community.
You could also help make a hospital stay a more enjoyable experience for someone living with dementia.
Side by Side volunteers provide agreed support to people with dementia which could include supporting a person with dementia to go to their local park, making a weekly phone call, doing a crossword with someone who is in hospital, going to the cinema, pick up an old hobby, visit local museums or try a new leisure activity.
The service is operating across Worcestershire, so you can volunteer in a location that is convenient to you
