Due to the expansion of the Training & Learning Service and our Apprenticeship programme, NYCC is looking to recruit a talented Workforce Development Adviser to expand our Apprenticeship programme and realise our ambitions.
Apprenticeships are a key aspect of our current and future workforce together with being a national strategic initiative.
Apprenticeship frameworks and funding are complex and multi-faceted therefore the post holder will use their expert understanding and experience of operating apprentices schemes to support services and influence key stakeholders internally and externally.
Operating robust and compliant programmes is the day job alongside providing professional consultancy advice to key stakeholders, as part of the services management team.
We aim to maximise the utilisation of the apprenticeship levy; requiring an innovative approach to funding through a variety of approaches, particularly with schools and our external customers.
The regulations around apprenticeships is continually changing and developing and therefore to deliver apprenticeships the post holder will display agility, resilience and tenacity when operating in the fluid apprenticeship landscape.
The Training and Learning Service is a key part of the HR and strategic workforce planning agenda for the County Council and our partners.
This is a highly successful service with teams who are experienced, creative and deliver 80% of the Council’s training and increasing delivery solutions to other organisations.
Whilst other organisations are cutting costs, NYCC is developing the workforce of the future and it’s due to this commitment the service are expanding so you will be joining at a pivotal and exciting time.
